As a figurative artist, Andy Roberts does not always aim to capture a likeness, preferring to focus on creating expressive drawings, often adopting an unusual perspective. He works from life and photographs. Whilst often drawing family and friends, he also draws others from memory and imagination using charcoal, pencils, ink, pastels and paint.
